Largest Electron Beam (EB) Welding Chamber in North America
Sciaky's more than 60 years of experience in the design and production of advanced welding systems has given us a unique insight into the needs of the industries that we serve. Many projects and programs that might benefit in quality, cost, and delivery from the use of advanced automated welding techniques -- such as Electron Beam (EB) welding do not take advantage of these processes due to limitations in capital funds, project duration, or lot size. Sciaky has moved to fill this need by making available the largest and most advanced electron beam (EB) welding services facility on a contract basis.
Sciaky's electron beam (eb) welding services facility is staffed with experienced welding technicians and support personnel. In addition, we provide a full range of manufacturing capabilities for part preparation, fixture design and building, pre- and post-weld machining, all under one roof. Additional operations such as heat-treating and Non-Destructive Testing can be carried out under Sciaky supervision. This allows us to provide a full range of options, from eb welding to complete part production.
Projects can be of any size, from pilot production runs requiring quick turnaround to multi-year production programs. We are constantly adding to and upgrading our facilities. The following list of equipment describes some of the units present in our contract welding services facility.
Sciaky's VX-300 electron beam welding chamber is the largest EB contract welding service facility in the U.S. The elctron beam welding machine can accommodate large parts and uses high-powered EB welding guns up to 42kW.

Laboratory Testing and Demonstration Capabilities
The Sciaky process development laboratory is staffed with highly qualified personnel and the latest equipment to evaluate your specialized welding applications and feasibility programs. Our skilled technicians offer the latest welding processes, system design, weld joint design, metallurgical expertise, and programming skills. The process laboratory occupies about 4,000 square feet within the service facility. Additional testing, such as radiographic inspection, ultrasonic inspection, and scanning electron microscopy, can be accommodated.
