Sciaky is a manufacturer of electron beam, advanced arc, and resistance welding equipment, as well as a provider of advanced welding services, and a pioneer in Direct Manufacturing technologies. Our equipment meets rigid military specifications to manufacture such items as airframes, landing gear, jet engines, guided missiles, and vehicle parts.
In recent years, Sciaky has developed procedures that utilize our EB welding technology, coupled with a wire feed system to build parts from computer models using a layer additive technique. This technology is referred to in general as “additive manufacturing," and has been referred to using several different names, including Direct Manufacturing (DM), Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM), and EBFFF or EBF3 (Electron Beam Free Form Fabrication).
